Evaluation of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Research Support Facility
The Research Support Facility (RSF) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Golden, Colorado Campus is a 330,00 square net-zero energy facility constructed in 2008 - 2009. A key strategy for achieving net-zero energy consumption is aggressive daylighting of the entire building, and the primary means for providing daylighting to the building is the LightLouver Daylighting System. NREL staff has been carefully monitoring the performance of the RSF, and the evaluation report / PowerPoint presentation listed below provides a summary of the performance for the period 2010 to 2011. The energy savings achieved in electric lighting through the LightLouver Daylighting System is presented.
